Learn To Identify These Signs That Indicate Stroke

Stroke marks the termination of the operation of certain groups of brain cells, and comes as a result of lack of oxygen or nutrients.

Symptoms can sometimes be hard to see, so you have to note the following:

Main symptoms:

  •  Numbness of the face, arms or legs, especially on one side of the body.
  • Confusion, problems with speech and understanding.
  •  Sudden vision problems, in one or both eyes.
  •  Sudden issues with walking, headache, loss of balance or coordination.
  •  Headache without reason.

Less common symptoms:

Nausea and vomiting.

  •  A brief loss of consciousness, confusion or fainting.
  • Sudden hiccups.
  •  Sudden pain in the face.
  •  Fast breathing and chest pain.

Simple tests to validate these symptoms:

  • Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face remains paralyzed?
  • Ask the person to raise his hands. Does one arm falls?
  • Ask the person to say a simple sentence. Notice the way he tells the sentence, if incomprehensible, then you should visit a doctor.
