Only a Handful a Day Protects Against Heart Disease, Cancer and Diabetes!

Walnuts contain the most antioxidants from all nuts. And when it comes to food that is healthy for the heart, walnuts are among the three healthiest foods.

Moreover, they are rich in fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. So you don’t have to wonder that the results of various studies suggest that regular consumption of nuts can reduce the risks of heart disease, some forms of cancer and diabetes type two.

In the latest study at University of Scranton , were analyzed the antioxidants in several types of nuts: Indian walnuts, almonds, pistachios, Brazilian nuts, hazelnuts, walnuts and peanuts.

Walnuts were ranked above all nuts. Only a handful of these amazing nuts, contain almost two times more antioxidants than the same quantity of any other nuts. Unfortunately, people do not consume enough nuts. Our research has shown that if we want to live healthy life, we have to consume a lot of walnuts.

The advice of the experts is that we have to eat fresh, not processed walnuts, because it reduces their antioxidant properties. But many people avoid nuts because they think that will gain weight, but they contain healthy polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats that do not lead to a blockage of the blood vessels, as well as saturated fats.

Therefore, if you consume nuts, you will not gain any weight, but you will lose weight because they give a feeling of satiety.

“Seven walnuts per day is the ideal amount for maximum health benefit,” concluded Dr. Winston.
